Bofish is an innovative material obtained from fish wastes like bones and cartilage, especially those from tuna caught in the waters of Camogli from tonnarella.

The Bofish placemat is made of Bofish plates and an eco-friendly colored tread.

The plates are combined together thanks to the blanket stitch, wich is the most suitable in this case because of its structure very flat, an essential notion in order to get a comfortable and steady placemat.

The fish waste is minced with variable grain and then mixed with a particular natural resin and natural pigments, until a liquid compound is obtained wich, once hardened, possesses the mechanical properties of the resin.

Considering the state of this compound it is possible to give the desired shape through silicone molds.
